Netflix has shared a first look at its movie plans for 2026. The streaming company revealed new release dates, casting updates, and early images from several upcoming projects. The information was announced by Netflix on Wednesday.

One of the biggest titles on the list is War Machine, a sci-fi action movie led by Alan Ritchson. The film is set to arrive on March 6, 2026. It follows a group of elite soldiers whose final training test turns into a deadly fight for survival. Patrick Hughes directed the movie and also helped write and produce it.

Another film getting a confirmed date is Remarkably Bright Creatures, which will premiere on May 8. The movie is based on the popular novel by Shelby Van Pelt. It centers on an older woman, played by Sally Field, who forms an unexpected bond with a giant octopus at the aquarium where she works. The story mixes grief, friendship, and a hidden mystery. Olivia Newman directed the film, which also stars Lewis Pullman and Colm Meaney.

Netflix also announced that Tyler Perry’s Joe’s College Road Trip will be released on February 13. Perry wrote, directed, and stars in the comedy. The film follows a road trip meant to teach life lessons, but things quickly become stressful and emotional. It is one of several projects Perry has in development with Netflix, though some of his other upcoming films do not yet have release dates.

The animated movie Swapped also received an update. Tracy Morgan and Cedric the Entertainer have joined the voice cast. The story focuses on two rival animals who suddenly switch bodies and are forced to work together to survive. Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple voice the main characters.

Netflix also revealed first-look images from Enola Holmes 3, continuing the detective series starring Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge. New images were also shared from the comedy Little Brother, which stars John Cena and Eric André.

Several other high-profile movies are still planned for 2026 but do not yet have set dates. These include projects starring Ben Affleck, Kevin Hart, Jennifer Lopez, Robert De Niro, Denzel Washington, and Robert Pattinson. Greta Gerwig’s Narnia is expected to hit theaters in IMAX in November before landing on Netflix in December.
