Netflix is heading into mid-2026 with another strong wave of anime releases, and June is shaping up to be one of the busiest months yet. From long-running shōnen favorites to newer hits returning with fresh seasons, the platform is stacking its lineup with a mix of action, comedy, fantasy, and ongoing weekly drops that will keep fans busy all month long.

June will include a combination of licensed anime expansions, returning seasons, and continuing weekly series. The slate covers both well-known global titles and newer adaptations that are steadily building audiences worldwide.

Assassination Classroom (Season 2)

Releasing June 1, 2026

The story continues with Class 3-E returning after their break and resuming their unusual mission: finding a way to take down their superpowered teacher, Koro-sensei, before graduation. The pressure increases as the school administration tightens control, especially under the strict influence of Principal Asano.

As tensions rise within the class itself, the students begin to question loyalty, teamwork, and their individual motivations. Nagisa Shiota finds himself caught in the middle of growing internal conflict, as the competition to claim the bounty on Koro-sensei becomes even more intense. The mix of emotional stakes and over-the-top action continues to define the series.

One Piece (Season 33 continuation)

Releasing June 1, 2026

The One Piece rollout continues on Netflix with more episodes from the massive Whole Cake Island arc. This latest batch brings the Straw Hat Pirates deeper into one of the most dramatic storylines in the series, as alliances, betrayals, and high-stakes battles unfold around Big Mom’s territory.

With the series now spanning hundreds of episodes on Netflix, this ongoing addition keeps pushing the platform closer to covering even more of the modern One Piece timeline. Fans can expect major emotional moments, high-energy fights, and important developments for Luffy’s journey toward the legendary treasure.

Shangri-La Frontier (Season 2)

Releasing June 1, 2026

The second season continues following Rakurou “Sunraku” Hizutome as he dives deeper into the virtual world of Shangri-La Frontier. Known for his unconventional playstyle, Sunraku continues to challenge in-game systems and powerful enemies that most players avoid entirely.

This season expands the adventure as he pursues rare quests involving the game’s legendary “unbeatable monsters.” Alongside new allies like Emul and returning companions Arthur Pencilgon and OiKatzo, Sunraku’s journey grows more complex, blending strategy, exploration, and large-scale battles inside the VR world.

One Piece: Elbaf Arc (Part 1)

Releasing through July 4, 2026 (ongoing into June)

The story shifts toward the long-anticipated Elbaf arc, focusing on the Straw Hats’ arrival in the land of giants. After escaping the chaos of Egghead Island, the crew finds themselves pulled into new dangers and discoveries tied to Elbaf’s legendary warriors.

This arc introduces new allies, larger-than-life battles, and deeper lore connected to the world’s ancient history. The Elbaf storyline continues to build on Luffy’s journey while expanding the scale of the series even further.

Kill Blue (Season 1)

Releasing until June 27, 2026

A fresh addition to Netflix’s anime lineup, Kill Blue follows Juuzou Oogami, a feared assassin who suddenly finds himself transformed into a teenager after a mysterious encounter. Forced to adapt to his new appearance, he is ordered to infiltrate a middle school while hiding his identity.

The series blends action and comedy as Juuzou navigates school life, unexpected friendships, and dangerous missions that don’t stop just because he looks younger. The contrast between his deadly skills and everyday school situations drives much of the humor and tension.
