Netflix Unveils Trailer for ‘Billionaires’ Bunker,’ Álex Pina’s Next Big Drama
Netflix has released the first trailer for Billionaires’ Bunker, the newest series from Money Heist creator Álex Pina. The show will launch worldwide on September 19, and is already shaping up to be one of Netflix’s biggest Spanish dramas of the year.
The story takes place as the world faces the threat of World War III. A group of billionaires escapes into an underground luxury shelter called Kimera Underground Park.
Inside, they have access to everything from restaurants and cocktail bars to gyms and even a spa. While they watch the chaos of the outside world through screens, tensions grow among them.
According to Netflix, “their ancient privilege will be reduced to a life adapted to a luxurious hole, an underground universe full of enigmas where a wound from the past will explode between two conflicting families.”

The series comes from Vancouver Media, the Madrid-based studio behind Money Heist. Pina co-created it with Esther Martínez Lobato, who has worked with him on every Netflix project so far, including Sky Rojo, Berlin, and White Lines. The directing team includes David Barrocal, Jesús Colmenar, and J.M. Cravioto, all of whom have previously collaborated with Pina.
Filming took place at Netflix’s Tres Cantos production hub in Spain, where the crew used advanced technology to create large-scale environments. This included near 360-degree projection setups that helped build the underground world of the bunker.
The show will feature eight episodes and a cast led by Natalia Verbeke, Joaquín Furriel, Miren Ibarguren, Carlos Santos, and Alícia Falcó. Other actors include Álex Villazán, Samuel López, Omar Banana, Montse Guallar, Miguel Garcés, Pau Simon, Monica Mara, and Agustina Bisio.
Billionaires’ Bunker is the fifth Netflix project created by Pina, following the global success of Money Heist and its spinoffs. With a mix of thriller, social commentary, and tense family drama, the new series looks set to attract fans who loved his earlier work.
