Netflix’s latest mystery thriller has quickly become the platform’s biggest new series launch of 2026. ‘I Will Find You’, based on the work of bestselling author Harlan Coben, attracted 24 million views during its first four days on the streaming service, proving once again that audiences continue to love intense crime stories filled with secrets and twists.

The limited series became the most-watched English-language TV title on Netflix during the week of June 15 to 21, according to Netflix’s own weekly viewing charts. While the company did not explain exactly how many days are included in its “debut” measurement, the numbers were enough to make the show the biggest opening for a new Netflix series this year.

At the center of ‘I Will Find You’ is David Burroughs, played by Sam Worthington, a man who has spent years behind bars after being convicted of murdering his own son. However, David has always claimed he was innocent, and the story takes a dramatic turn when new information forces him to question everything he thought he knew.

Netflix’s official description reveals that David’s life changes when his sister-in-law Rachel, played by Britt Lower, arrives with evidence suggesting his son may still be alive. The discovery pushes him into a dangerous search for answers as he escapes prison and tries to uncover the truth behind the mystery surrounding his family.

The success of ‘I Will Find You’ continues a strong relationship between Netflix and Harlan Coben. The author has a major creative partnership with the streaming service, which has already produced multiple adaptations of his novels. Netflix has also announced more projects based on Coben’s work, including the upcoming ‘Myron Bolitar’ series.

Coben’s previous Netflix adaptations have also performed well around the world. His series ‘Run Away’ spent several weeks on Netflix’s global Top 10 chart and collected 38 million views during that period, showing that viewers have become familiar with the author’s style of suspense, hidden identities, and shocking revelations.

The popularity of ‘I Will Find You’ also helped it stand above other major Netflix releases during the same week. Other titles ranking high on the English-language TV chart included ‘Outlast: The Jungle’ Season 1, ‘Sweet Magnolias’ Season 5, and ‘America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ Season 3.

The show’s early success highlights Netflix’s continued focus on mystery dramas and thriller series. Stories built around missing people, family secrets, and unexpected discoveries have become some of the platform’s most reliable performers, especially when they are based on popular books with an existing fanbase.

Beyond the numbers, ‘I Will Find You’ also gives Sam Worthington another major television role following years of work in film. The actor leads the series with a character who must fight against both the legal system and his own doubts while searching for the truth about his son.

With millions of viewers already watching in its opening days, ‘I Will Find You’ has quickly established itself as one of Netflix’s biggest new shows of the year. Whether it can maintain that momentum in the coming weeks will depend on how long the mystery keeps audiences talking.
