Netflix is bringing another Harlan Coben story to the screen, and this time the streamer is adapting one of the author’s most popular characters. The upcoming series based on the Myron Bolitar books has found its main cast, with Colin Woodell set to lead the show as the famous sports agent.

Woodell, known for Netflix’s Pulse, will take on the role of Myron Bolitar, a former basketball player whose career takes an unexpected turn after an injury ends his NBA dreams. Instead of leaving the sports world behind, Myron builds a new career as a sports agent, where he finds himself dealing with difficult clients, dangerous situations, and secrets that go far beyond the game.

Joining Woodell are Riverdale star KJ Apa and Orange Is The New Black actress Diane Guerrero. Apa will play Win Lockwood, Myron’s close friend and trusted partner. The character comes from a wealthy background but chooses to leave that life behind to build his own path. Despite his unusual upbringing, Win becomes one of the few people Myron can rely on when things get complicated.

Guerrero will portray Esperanza Diaz, Myron’s right-hand woman at his sports agency. According to the show’s description, Esperanza is a former wrestler who helps keep the business running while also supporting Myron through the challenges that come with protecting his clients.

Netflix shared the details about the casting as part of its continued partnership with Coben. The author signed an overall deal with the streamer in 2018, and since then, Netflix has adapted 13 of his novels into series. The platform says those shows have reached more than 300 million views worldwide since 2023.

The Myron Bolitar adaptation is the latest addition to Coben’s growing relationship with Netflix, which has already produced successful thrillers based on his work. His recent series I Will Find You became one of the platform’s biggest original scripted releases of 2026, spending time at the top of Netflix’s global English-language TV rankings.

The upcoming show will explore Myron’s unusual second career after his sports dreams come to an end. Netflix’s official description says, “After an injury ends his NBA dreams, Myron Bolitar reinvents himself as a sports agent — using charm, smarts and a ruthless partner to navigate the high-stakes, dirty world of sports, where saving his clients often means risking himself.”

Behind the camera, the series has assembled a strong creative team. David E. Kelley and Kyle Long, known for their work on Suits, will serve as showrunners and executive producers. Kelley is also continuing his relationship with Netflix after working on projects including Anatomy of a Scandal, A Man in Full, and The Lincoln Lawyer.
