New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Promo Art Puts Sue Storm, Black Panther, Mystique and Yelena Belova in the Spotlight
Marvel’s marketing machine is running at full speed. The Disney re-release of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ just pushed the 2019 epic back to the top of the all-time box office charts, and the turnout has theater owners buzzing about ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Every new piece of art now gets picked apart by fans.
Marvel has been releasing ‘Doomsday‘ imagery in waves for months. Earlier pieces put Doctor Doom front and center alongside Thor, Captain America and Mister Fantastic. Other batches teased unexpected pairings, including Ant-Man and Invisible Woman, Shang-Chi and Cyclops, and Gambit and Yelena Belova.
The latest drop shifts the focus to 4 of the film’s heroes. MCU Film News shared a new promo for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ featuring Sue Storm, Black Panther, Mystique and Yelena Belova, crediting the image to @kepleravocado. Other new promo art and posters surfaced the same day, spotlighting the Fantastic Four, X-Men and Avengers.
The image itself is a classic ensemble piece on a black background. Sue Storm stands at the top in her blue Fantastic Four suit, one hand raised as she projects a force field. Black Panther crouches in a dark suit on the left, while Mystique stands to the right in a white outfit with her signature red hair and blue skin. Yelena Belova sits in the foreground in a green tactical look, a staff in each hand, with the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ logo beneath them.

The characters line up with the film’s announced cast. Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm, also known as Invisible Woman, and Letitia Wright plays Shuri, who has taken on the Black Panther mantle. Rebecca Romijn plays Raven Darkhölme, better known as Mystique, and Florence Pugh returns as Yelena Belova.
All 4 come with different histories. Kirby was last seen as Sue Storm in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ in 2025. Wright’s last outing as Black Panther was ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ in 2022. Pugh was most recently in ‘Thunderbolts*’ in 2025, and Romijn last played Mystique in ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ in 2006.
Mystique is a particularly intriguing inclusion. Earlier leaked promo art suggested Romijn would swap her classic bare look for a white top closer to the comics, and this image appears to match that. Mystique has even gotten her own spotlight in the film’s Cheetos tie-in, where she is the cheese-with-ketchup flavor.
Yelena keeps turning up too. One outlet noted that her continued presence across nearly every wave of promotional art suggests her role carries real weight, positioning Pugh’s character as one of the story’s more central figures. That would fit with the film’s wider setup, which brings together the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and Doctor Doom.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026. Filming ran from April to September 2025, and the cast now lists 35 names. ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ is set to follow on December 17, 2027.
Comic Book Movie noted that the focus of the new art remains on the heroes announced during last March’s chair reveal. It does not feature surprise additions like Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers or rumored fan favorites. Marvel is clearly holding its biggest secrets back, and the studio likely won’t spotlight its secret characters until after the movie is out.
For now, this latest promo is another reminder of how crowded the film’s roster is.
