New ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ Posters Show Off 4DX and Infinity Vision Ahead of September Return
Marvel Studios has been on a steady promotional roll all summer, but the campaign for its upcoming rerelease has become something of a rolling reveal in its own right. Rather than dropping everything at once, the studio has spaced out new details about the film’s format offerings, bonus footage, and now, its poster artwork, keeping fans checking in for the next piece of the puzzle.
That rollout continues to build toward the film’s return to theaters on September 25, and the latest wave of promotional material leans directly into the format story that’s been driving this entire campaign. New posters for ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore‘ have now been released, each one tied to a specific premium theatrical format the studio wants audiences to experience the film in.

One poster is branded for 4DX, the motion-and-sensory format known for incorporating physical effects like seat movement, wind, and lighting synced to on-screen action, featuring the assembled Avengers cast in a moody, black-and-white treatment accented by a burst of colorful light. The second poster promotes Infinity Vision, Marvel’s newly introduced premium certification standard, and centers on a close-up of Tony Stark’s face beside the Infinity Gauntlet, rendered in a stormy blue-and-orange color palette that echoes the film’s climactic battle.

Both posters carry the tagline “Reassemble the Team,” reinforcing the nostalgic framing the studio has leaned on throughout this rerelease campaign. That messaging fits the broader strategy Marvel has used to position ‘Endgame Encore’ as more than a simple theatrical revival, treating it instead as a genuine event tied directly to the studio’s next major tentpole.
Infinity Vision itself isn’t a traditional premium large-format screen technology in the way IMAX or 4DX are. Instead, it functions as a certification standard, verifying that participating theaters meet specific benchmarks for screen size, sound quality, and projection standards, giving Disney a way to guarantee a consistent premium experience across a wider network of theaters nationwide.

The timing behind that new format isn’t coincidental. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ opens December 18 alongside Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune: Part Three,’ and IMAX has already committed its screens exclusively to Villeneuve’s film for that release window, leaving Marvel’s own tentpole without access to the large-format screens it’s traditionally relied on. Introducing Infinity Vision now, tied to ‘Endgame Encore,’ gives Disney a low-risk opportunity to familiarize audiences with the new premium badge months ahead of ‘Doomsday’s’ actual release.
The rerelease itself brings back the 2019 blockbuster with a custom new introduction, additional footage tied directly to ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ and a special end tag, pushing the total runtime beyond the original theatrical cut. That new material remains exclusive to IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified screens rather than standard theatrical presentations, giving premium format ticket holders a genuine incentive beyond simply rewatching a beloved film on the big screen.
With tickets already on sale and a growing wave of collectibles, posters, and format-specific marketing rolling out ahead of the September date, Marvel appears to be treating ‘Endgame Encore’ as a genuine dry run for how it plans to market ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ once December arrives. Given how much is riding on that film after a mixed stretch at the box office for the studio, using this rerelease to build format recognition and audience goodwill feels like a deliberate long game rather than simple nostalgia marketing.
