The beloved anime Black Clover is set to return in 2026 with a brand-new adaptation, announced at the Jump Festa 2026 stage event. Fans were treated to a teaser trailer and a fresh visual preview, confirming the premiere next year. Crunchyroll will stream the series when it airs, making it accessible to viewers worldwide.

Studio Pierrot, which produced the first anime, will handle animation again, and the original voice cast will reprise their roles.

This includes Gakuto Kajiwara as Asta, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yuno, Junichi Suwabe as Yami Sukehiro, Kana Yuki as Noelle Silva, and Hiro Shimono as Nacht Faust. The Black Clover manga, created by Yuki Tabata, began in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015 and moved to Jump Giga in December 2023, with 37 volumes released in Japan to date.

The first anime series ran from October 2017 to March 2021, spanning 170 episodes. Additionally, the anime movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King premiered in Japan in March 2023.

Black Clover follows Asta and Yuno, two orphans found on the same day at a church in a world where magic defines society.

Yuno possesses exceptional magical talent, while Asta has none. At fifteen, both receive grimoires, magical books that enhance their abilities. Asta’s grimoire is special, granting him anti-magic that cancels other spells. Despite their differences, the two friends and rivals share the dream of becoming the Wizard King, facing countless challenges together along the way.

This announcement is exciting news for anime fans who have followed Asta and Yuno’s journey from the manga to the original anime. A continuation of the series promises new adventures, challenges, and magic. The return of Black Clover will reignite interest in the series and attract both longtime fans and newcomers.
