In a recent chat with Empire Magazine, actress Vanessa Kirby, who plays Sue Storm, hinted at something interesting. “It’s not just adults that have superpowers,” she said. That small tease got people wondering whether Franklin, who is famous in the comics for having insane powers, would show up in the movie. Now that we’ve seen him as a baby, speculation is only growing.
In the Marvel comics, Franklin isn’t just another super-powered kid. He’s considered one of the most powerful mutants ever. His abilities let him shape reality itself and even create entire universes out of nothing.
He’s also capable of things like telepathy, telekinesis, and projecting his mind across other dimensions. Basically, he’s on the same level as cosmic beings like Galactus or the Celestials. According to the comics, he only gets stronger as he grows up, and future versions of Franklin have shown up in stories as god-like heroes protecting the universe.
As the movie’s release date in July gets closer, excitement is building. Director Matt Shakman recently spoke about the film and addressed rumors about Doctor Doom. He suggested that the villain won’t appear in the main story, but fans still believe Doom could show up in a surprise post-credits scene, especially now that we know that Joe and Anthony Russo filmed the post-credits scene.
The film itself is set in an alternate universe called Earth-828, a world inspired by 1960s retro-futuristic style. In this reality, the Fantastic Four must protect their planet from Galactus and his herald, the Silver Surfer.
