New “Jack Ryan: Ghost War” Footage Reveals High-Stakes Action Thriller
Jack Ryan is officially returning, and fans just got their new look at the next chapter. A brand-new clip from Jack Ryan: Ghost War has now been released ahead of the movie’s premiere on Prime Video this month.
The upcoming action thriller continues the story from the hit Prime Video series that originally ran from 2018 to 2023. John Krasinski returns once again as CIA analyst Jack Ryan, while Wendell Pierce reprises his role as James Greer. The new footage teases another global conspiracy storyline filled with covert missions, political tension, and high-stakes espionage.
According to information released by Amazon MGM Studios and multiple entertainment outlets, the film follows Ryan after he gets pulled back into the world of intelligence operations when a secret international mission uncovers a dangerous conspiracy involving a rogue black-ops group. The story reportedly becomes deeply personal as Ryan races against time alongside familiar allies Mike November and James Greer.
The movie is directed by Andrew Bernstein, who previously worked on the Jack Ryan series. The screenplay was written by Aaron Rabin and Krasinski, based on a story created by Krasinski and Noah Oppenheim. The project is inspired by characters from the Ryanverse franchise originally created by Tom Clancy.
Alongside Krasinski and Pierce, the cast also includes Michael Kelly, Sienna Miller, Betty Gabriel, Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, and JJ Feild.
Production on the movie began earlier this year in London before wrapping during the summer. The newly released clip gives fans their clearest look yet at the darker tone and larger scale of the film, which appears to push the franchise even further into blockbuster territory.
Jack Ryan: Ghost War premieres globally on Prime Video on May 20.
