New Look at Daredevil in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Released
Fans of Daredevil are getting their new look at the hero in the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again. Empire released an image from the show, giving viewers a glimpse of Charlie Cox back in the black suit as Matt Murdock.
Season 2 promises bigger stakes for Hell’s Kitchen. Matt is recovering from a bullet wound caused by Wilson Fisk, who is now the mayor of New York City.
Fisk is using his “Safer Streets Initiative” to crack down on masked vigilantes. Producer Sana Amanat told Empire, “The landscape was open, and that was so liberating. We were like, ‘We can do whatever we want.’”
Matt isn’t facing this alone. Krysten Ritter returns as Jessica Jones, who Amanat says brings “edginess and lightness — Daredevil can be very dark and dramatic, and she cuts through the BS in a really fun way.”
The season also sees the return of some fan-favorite characters. Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, who died in the first season, is coming back in some form, as are Karen Page and others from the original series. Amanat said the creative team felt the show “could not see a Daredevil season without Henson having some involvement.”
Filming for the second season began on February 28, under the working title Out the Kitchen 2. Principal photography included locations in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and Chelsea. The team brought back Hillary Fyfe Spera as cinematographer and Philip Silvera as stunt coordinator. Production wrapped on July 9.
The new season will include eight episodes and is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2026. It will be part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A third season has already been confirmed, keeping the story alive for future adventures.
