New Poster Reveals Fresh Look for ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’
HBO just released a new official poster for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and it gives the show a much brighter style than fans are used to from Game of Thrones. The series comes from George R.R. Martin and writer Ira Parker.

It tells the story of a tall, honest knight named Ser Duncan the Tall, played by Peter Claffey, and his young squire Egg, played by Dexter Sol Ansell. Egg is really a hidden Targaryen prince named Aegon. This is the third live-action show set in the world of A Song of Ice and Fire.
It is based on the short novels called Tales of Dunk and Egg, and the action takes place around ninety years before the events of Game of Thrones. The main cast also includes Finn Bennett as the cruel prince Aerion Brightflame, Bertie Carvel as the respected prince Baelor Breakspear, Sam Spruell as prince Maekar Targaryen, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon the Laughing Storm, and Tanzyn Crawford as a puppeteer named Tanselle.
Season one has six episodes and will start on HBO and Max on January 18, 2026. The show was first expected in late 2025, but the date moved. Even before the first episode aired, HBO renewed it for a second season in November.
That second season should arrive in 2027.
