New set photos from the filming of Spider-Man: Brand New Day might have revealed the next villain Peter Parker will face in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The movie, starring Tom Holland, is set to hit theaters in 2026 and marks Holland’s return after his last appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. Fans have been eager to learn more about the story, and these fresh photos from Glasgow, where the movie is currently shooting, have sparked a lot of excitement.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will show Peter Parker living in a world where no one remembers who he is anymore. This happens because of a spell Doctor Strange cast in No Way Home. Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, recently said in an interview that the movie will focus more on street-level crime rather than big world-ending threats. He also mentioned that this smaller, more personal kind of story is the perfect chance to introduce characters like the Punisher.

As filming continues in Glasgow, some fans and insiders have shared new photos and videos from the set. One of the most interesting things seen in these images are big military tanks marked with a red devil symbol.

This symbol closely matches the logo of Mister Negative, a villain from the Spider-Man comics. Mister Negative is known for leading a gang called the Inner Demons. He has the power to control dark energy and can switch between his normal self and a dangerous villainous form, which makes him a tough enemy for Spider-Man.

So far, no official announcements have been made about who will play Mister Negative in the movie or even if he will be in it for sure. But the presence of the red devil symbol on the set vehicles is a strong hint that the Inner Demons and their leader could play a big part in the story.

Adding to the excitement, it was recently confirmed that Mark Ruffalo will return as Bruce Banner, also known as the Hulk, in Brand New Day. Ruffalo’s Hulk hasn’t appeared in the MCU since 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, so fans are thrilled to see him back. Michael Mando is also coming back to play the villain Scorpion, whom he first portrayed in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will feature a surprising twist where Spider-Man, Hulk, and Punisher will initially fight each other. The report says they will clash until they realize they need to work together to find the real villains threatening the city. This fits well with Feige’s idea of the movie being more grounded and about street-level threats.

Mister Negative, whose real name is Martin Li in the comics, is a complex villain who runs a charity to help the homeless but secretly leads a criminal empire. His ability to manipulate both light and dark energy makes him dangerous and unpredictable. If the rumors about his appearance are true, he could be a fresh and interesting challenge for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, especially alongside villains like Scorpion and the involvement of characters like Hulk and Punisher.

For now, fans will have to wait for more official news as filming continues. But with these new clues, it looks like Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be an exciting and action-packed addition to the MCU’s Phase Six.
