Sadie Sink, who fans have been eagerly waiting to see in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is now confirmed to join the cast of the upcoming Avengers movie, Secret Wars.

Filming for Brand New Day is nearing completion, and Sink’s appearance has been a hot topic since her casting in March. There had been rumors she might play X-Men’s Jean Grey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but her role in Spider-Man remains a mystery.

According to Deadline, Sink will appear in the next Avengers film, following Secret Wars’ predecessor, Avengers: Doomsday. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to open on July 31. There has been much speculation about the role Sink has in the Spidey film, and frankly, I do not know the answer, but I do know that she’ll join the cast of the next Avengers picture that shoots here in London later in 2026,” Deadline reported.

This is not unusual for Marvel, as actors are often introduced in one film before appearing in another. As of now, Sink is not officially confirmed for Doomsday, which is set to release in December next year.

Marvel Studios first announced Avengers: Secret Wars at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022, with the script written by Waldron in October. In July 2024, the Russo brothers were confirmed as directors and producers through AGBO, with McFeely joining as a new writer. Robert Downey Jr. has also been cast as Doctor Doom. Filming is set to begin in mid-2026 at Pinewood Studios in England and is expected to take about six months. The release date for Secret Wars is December 17, 2027.

Fans of the MCU can also expect the main Fantastic Four cast to return from Doomsday in Secret Wars, continuing the story from that film.
