New Trailer Released for the Last Season of ‘Stranger Things’

Netflix has released a new trailer for the final season of Stranger Things, giving fans their first look at the last chapter of the hit series.

The fifth season, known as Stranger Things 5, will bring the story to a close with eight episodes that will debut in three parts near the end of this year.

According to Netflix, the first four episodes will arrive on November 26. Three more will follow on December 25, and the series will end with a finale releasing on December 31. The show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, produced the season along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen. The season had its world premiere earlier on November 6, in Los Angeles.

Most of the main cast returns for the final stretch. Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink and the rest of the core group are all back.

Amybeth McNulty, who appeared as a guest in the previous season, has been moved up to the main cast. New cast members include Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux and Linda Hamilton.

Netflix shared that the final season takes place in 1987, after the destruction left behind in season four. The characters are now focused on stopping Vecna for good. Their plans fall apart when the military arrives in Hawkins and begins going after Eleven. The story also unfolds as the anniversary of Will Byers’ disappearance approaches, adding more pressure to the group as they face one last threat.

Although the Stranger Things finale was originally not expected to hit theaters, things changed behind the scenes. Reports say the idea of releasing the final episode in cinemas had been discussed for a while. Ross Duffer said it had been planned for a year. The last episode will play in theaters in the United States and Canada until January 1, 2026.
