New ‘Yellowstone’ Spin-Off With Beth and Rip Might Be Called ‘Dutton Ranch’

It looks like Yellowstone fans haven’t seen the last of Beth and Rip. A new report from Bloomberg says their upcoming spin-off might be called Dutton Ranch. Earlier reports suggested the title would include Yellowstone, so the show could end up being called Yellowstone: Dutton Ranch.
This title would make sense after how Yellowstone Season 5B ended. In the final episode, called “Life Is a Promise,” Beth and Rip leave the drama of the Dutton ranch behind. They buy a new ranch 40 miles west of Dillon, Montana, looking for a quieter life with Carter. It felt like an ending, but also a new beginning.
Cole Hauser, who plays Rip said, “Down the road, if there’s something that happens, surely I would welcome it.” Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth, added, “Until Taylor Sheridan comes to us both… and [if] he’s inspired to write something for us, then great. And if not, this is a beautiful ending.”
This new show would be the second Yellowstone spin-off in the works. The first, The Madison, stars Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer as a New York family starting over in Montana. But unlike The Madison, the Beth and Rip spin-off will pick up right where Yellowstone left off — and could even bring back other familiar characters.
The name of the show isn’t confirmed yet, but Dutton Ranch is a strong possibility. Since Paramount now owns full streaming rights to Yellowstone, they’ll likely keep the word Yellowstone in the title to make sure fans know it’s part of the same world.
Whatever the name, one thing is clear, Beth and Rip’s story isn’t over yet.
