Nikki Glaser Spills How Much She Made Babysitting Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann — You Won’t Believe It
Nikki Glaser recently opened up about her time babysitting Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann’s daughters, sharing stories and even her pay rate during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show on January 13. The comedian hosted the 2026 Golden Globes, where Apatow mentioned that Glaser had once watched over his children, Maude and Iris, which delighted her.
Glaser, 41, explained that starting out as a babysitter for the Apatows was a special memory. “It’s such a special moment for me that I started out as his babysitter,” she said. She revealed that the couple paid generously at the time. “This was 2007, I think it was like $35, $40 an hour, which was more than I [had] ever been paid to babysit.”
The comedian remembered the girls as easy to care for, saying they were “so sweet” and “so funny,” much like their parents. One standout memory involved a phone call from Adam Sandler. “He was like, ‘Hello.’ I was like, ‘Hi.’ And he was like, ‘Hello, Maude, this is Adam.’ I was like, ‘Oh no, this is the babysitter,’” she recalled. Sandler quickly made her feel at ease by chatting with her, an interaction Glaser called “the nicest call I’ve ever gotten when I was babysitting.”
Glaser also discussed highlights from her Golden Globes hosting gig, sharing jokes aimed at stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Michael B. Jordan. She humorously teased DiCaprio about his long career and his love life while also joking about Jordan’s dual role in the film Sinners. Glaser admitted she later decided to cut some jokes, including one about Sydney Sweeney, before the broadcast.
Her anecdotes about babysitting and her award show experience painted a picture of her unique journey from behind-the-scenes childcare to hosting a major Hollywood event.
It’s amazing to see someone like Nikki Glaser reflect on her early experiences in Hollywood with humor and gratitude. It’s fun to see the connections she built long before becoming a well-known comedian. What do you think about Glaser’s babysitting stories and her Golden Globes jokes?
