Noah Wyle Departs Talent Agency Verve Amid Emmy Nominations for ‘The Pitt’

Success has a funny way of reshaping careers, and few actors have experienced a turnaround quite like Noah Wyle over the past two years. The ER alum, who spent over a decade away from medical dramas, found himself back at the center of television’s most talked-about hospital show after signing on for HBO Max’s ‘The Pitt.’

That show has since become a genuine phenomenon, earning Wyle his first Emmy win last year for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, along with a shared Best Drama Series victory as an executive producer. With ‘The Pitt’ now leading all shows heading into the 2026 Emmys with 25 total nominations, including two more nods for Wyle himself, the actor’s stock has never been higher.

Amid that momentum, Wyle is making a significant career move behind the scenes. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor and executive producer has officially parted ways with Verve, the talent agency that has represented him for the past two-plus years, with sources describing the split as amicable and noting Wyle has no immediate plans to sign elsewhere.

Wyle originally signed with Verve in early 2024, around the time HBO Max first ordered ‘The Pitt’ to series, meaning the agency has been alongside him for the entirety of the show’s rise to prominence. In a statement, Verve said it remains proud of the success achieved together and wished Wyle continued success moving forward.

Part of what’s driving the departure appears tied to Wyle’s expanding role behind the camera. The actor recently signed an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television, the studio behind ‘The Pitt,’ where he’ll develop and produce new series projects, and sources indicate that shift in focus factored into his decision to leave Verve.

It’s not the first time Wyle has taken on producing duties across his career, having served as an executive producer on both ‘The Librarians’ and its spinoff ‘The Librarians: The Next Chapter,’ as well as on ‘Falling Skies’ earlier in his career. Despite leaving Verve, Wyle will continue to be represented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Jackoway Austen, meaning the actor isn’t stepping away from representation entirely.

The move also comes at a turbulent moment for Verve more broadly. The agency has reportedly dealt with internal conflicts among partners that led to notable client and staff departures, including the exit of longtime television literary department head Felicia Prinz, who left for Range Media Partners earlier this year.

For Wyle, the timing of the split lines up neatly with a career high point rather than any sign of turbulence in his own trajectory. With ‘The Pitt’ continuing to dominate awards conversations and Wyle now positioned to develop his own projects through Warner Bros., the agency change appears to reflect a shift in priorities rather than a step back.

Whether Wyle eventually signs with a new agency or continues operating without one remains to be seen, but for now, his focus seems squarely on building out his producing career while ‘The Pitt’ continues its awards season run.
