NYCC Trailer Reveals Shocking Character Will Return in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2
At New York Comic Con, Marvel surprised fans with the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Charlie Cox returned as Matt Murdock, reuniting on stage with Krysten Ritter, who is officially back in the MCU as Jessica Jones. Disney+ will release the new season in March 2026.
The trailer revealed some major surprises, including the return of Jessica Jones, who previously starred in her own Netflix series and teamed up with Daredevil in The Defenders.
Elden Henson is also back as Foggy Nelson, despite his shocking death in the Season 1 premiere. Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin appears heavily in the trailer, shown both boxing in a ring and running an underground prison. Fans also got a quirky moment with Bullseye enjoying a vanilla milkshake topped with a cherry.
Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again premiered on Disney+ in early 2025 and brought back many original Netflix cast members. Cox, who also appeared as Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo, led the show, which was Marvel’s first M-rated series.
The first season followed Matt Murdock as he fought Wilson Fisk, who became the mayor of New York City. Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, played by Henson and Deborah Ann Woll, returned as Matt’s closest friends. The premiere shocked fans when Bullseye, played by Wilson Bethel, killed Foggy, sending Matt into a deep depression and causing him to retire as Daredevil.
Season 2 will also introduce Matthew Lillard as a new character, Mr. Charles, and the show has already been renewed for a third season. Other returning cast members include Margarita Levieva, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and Ayelet Zurer. Jon Bernthal returned as the Punisher, making his MCU debut in Born Again, and will star in a new MCU TV special while also appearing in next year’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The NYCC trailer also gave fans a glimpse of Matt and Karen sharing a romantic moment, with a kiss and dance, while Jessica Jones interacts with Foggy. These moments, combined with Kingpin’s ruthless activities and Bullseye’s playful yet sinister side, hint at a season packed with action, drama, and emotional beats.
With the return of beloved characters and new additions, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 promises to expand the story in exciting ways. Fans can expect more twists, character development, and intense action when the series arrives next March. What do you think about Jessica Jones returning and the new trailer reveals?
