‘Off Campus’ Season 2 Gets Release Date, and Prime Video’s Hockey Romance Returns Sooner Than Expected
Prime Video has found its latest binge-worthy obsession in ‘Off Campus‘, the college hockey romance based on Elle Kennedy’s best-selling book series. Set at the fictional Briar University, the show follows an elite hockey team and the women in their lives as they navigate love, heartbreak and the messy transition into adulthood.
All 8 episodes of the first season dropped on May 13, 2026, with Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli leading the opposites-attract romance between songwriter Hannah Wells and star player Garrett Graham. The series is built on the same model as ‘Bridgerton’, with each season shifting its spotlight to a different couple from the same friend group.
Fans of the show now know exactly when they can head back to campus. The second season of ‘Off Campus’ will premiere on April 28, 2027, according to Prime Video. That is less than a year after the first season arrived, which Deadline notes is a very rare gap for a streaming series.
The quick return was helped by an early renewal in February, three months before the premiere of the first season. Prime Video unveiled the date alongside a promo video featuring Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn, who now take center stage.
The new season centers on Dean Di Laurentis (Kalyn) and Allie Hayes (Abdalla), and it adapts Kennedy’s third novel, ‘The Score’. The first season adapted ‘The Deal’, which means the story is skipping ahead in the book order to spotlight a pair who were already a fan favorite. The official logline describes a story of an elite ice hockey team grappling with love, heartbreak and self-discovery while forging deep friendships and enduring bonds.
Bright and Cameli are not disappearing, though. They are returning in supporting roles as Hannah and Garrett, so viewers will still see the couple who started it all.

Prime Video has confirmed that nearly the entire series regular cast from the first season returns. The lone exception is Josh Heuston, who had a one-season arc as a crush for Hannah. Antonio Cipriano and Jalen Thomas Brooks are also back as teammates John Logan and John Tucker.
Charlie Evans, who was introduced late in the first season as Dean’s high school hockey rival Hunter Davenport, returns as a guest star. Shay Rudolph joins as Dean’s younger sister, Summer. India Fowler, known for ‘Fear Street: Prom Queen’, is also joining the cast as series regular Grace Ivers, a love interest for Logan.

The date announcement comes after a standout debut. According to Amazon, the first season reached 36 million viewers worldwide in its first 12 days, making it Prime Video’s third-biggest series debut behind ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ and ‘Fallout’. It also became the streamer’s most-viewed series debut of all time among women ages 18 to 34, the key audience the streamer has been courting with its young-adult and BookTok-driven push.
That performance put the show ahead of Prime Video heavyweights including ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’, ‘The Boys’ and ‘Reacher’ over the same window. Amazon has not shared how it counts viewers, and ‘Off Campus’ dropped all of its episodes at once, so the comparisons come with some caveats.
The momentum has lasted. Six months after its premiere, the series was still among Prime Video’s 10 most-watched shows worldwide, ranking at No. 6 for the week of October 26.
Filming on the new season has already wrapped, with production taking place around the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. That leaves a long stretch of postproduction ahead of the spring premiere, and fans can expect more details to arrive as the date gets closer.
Louisa Levy created the series and serves as co-showrunner with Gina Fattore, and Kennedy is attached as a producer. With the cast largely intact and a fan-favorite pairing in the lead, the show appears well placed to build on the success of its first run.
