‘Off Campus’ Star Mika Abdalla Makes Her Paris Fashion Week Debut at L’Oréal’s Eiffel Tower Runway Show

Paris Fashion Week has plenty of runways, but few are as public as L’Oréal Paris’s Le Défilé. The annual show turns Place Joffre into an open-air stage set between the Eiffel Tower and the École Militaire. It is open to the public and livestreamed worldwide on Instagram, TikTok and L’Oréal Paris’s digital platforms.

This year’s ninth edition took place Monday, September 28, at 9 p.m. under the theme “Express Your Worth.” The lineup was packed with familiar names, including Kendall Jenner, Heidi Klum, Jane Fonda, Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne and Eva Longoria. Kristen Bell made her debut on the brand’s runway after being named a global ambassador in August, and Céline Dion closed the show with a surprise performance.

Also walking was a rising star from one of the year’s biggest streaming hits. Mika Abdalla’s Paris Fashion Week debut came at the show, and the ‘Off Campus’ actress joined the international lineup on the runway. A 10-second clip from the show, shared online, shows her in high-waisted blue jeans, a black lace top and a sheer black lace cover-up, with her hair in loose waves.

Abdalla’s rise has been fast. ‘Off Campus’, the Prime Video series based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling novels, reached 36 million viewers in its first 12 days. That made it the third most-watched series launch in the streamer’s history, according to Variety.

She plays Allie Hayes, best friend to Ella Bright’s Hannah Wells. The series has turned its cast into fashion and beauty fixtures. WWD even broke down the hair and makeup aesthetics of Hannah and Allie in a feature on what the show got right about Gen Z beauty.

The show itself is designed as a celebration of women’s empowerment. L’Oréal describes the event as a celebration of inclusivity, freedom, confidence and sisterhood. It gathers the brand’s global ambassadors, designers and beauty experts.

Kendall Jenner opened the runway in a sheer black dress with a high neckline and a dramatic thigh-high slit, according to Just Jared. Other faces on the catwalk included Anitta, Simone Ashley, Andie MacDowell, Aja Naomi King and Lindsey Vonn. Abdalla joined that group alongside her fellow actor Jacob Rott.

The timing is notable. Prime Video has confirmed that the second season of ‘Off Campus’ will center on Allie and Dean Di Laurentis, played by Stephen Kalyn. It adapts ‘The Score’, the third book in Kennedy’s series, and follows a couple whose casual arrangement becomes more complicated.

Abdalla has indicated that the new season will be more emotionally intense for Allie, with less of the light-hearted friendship seen in the first. The main ensemble returns, including Bright, Belmont Cameli, Antonio Cipriano and Jalen Thomas Brooks. India Fowler joins as Grace Ivers.

Abdalla has worked in television and film since childhood, but Allie has become one of her most prominent roles. Her earlier credits include the Netflix series ‘Project Mc²’ and the films ‘Sex Appeal’ and ‘Snack Shack’. In 2025 she also had roles in ‘The Pitt’ and ‘Suits LA’.

Her next move after wrapping the second season isn’t known. TV Insider noted that she has a short film called ‘In the Flesh’ coming from director Armen Antranikian, about a couple who open their relationship. In a September 1 interview with Vogue India, she said she wants to do more behind-the-scenes work, including producing, writing or directing.

A Paris runway is a major milestone for any actress, and it signals how fast Abdalla’s profile has grown. It also shows that brands are taking notice of the show’s young stars. For L’Oréal, adding a fresh face to a lineup of established ambassadors keeps the event feeling current.

For fans, the clip is a fun glimpse of Abdalla outside her usual role. Her relaxed denim look stood out among the show’s more dramatic outfits. That casual style has been part of her appeal since the show launched.
