Olivia Dean Slams Live Nation and Ticketmaster: “You Are Providing a Disgusting Service”
Olivia Dean has criticized major ticketing companies over the resale of her concert tickets at inflated prices.
The singer, whose hit “Man I Need” recently entered the top five on the Billboard Hot 100, took to Instagram to call out Live Nation, Ticketmaster, and AEG for allowing fans to pay far above the original cost for her upcoming shows.
Dean expressed frustration with the secondary ticket market and warned fans to be cautious. “I’m sorry that there seems to be an issue with ticket re-selling and pricing. My team are currently looking into it. It is extremely frustrating as the last thing I want is for anyone to be scammed or overcharged for our show 🙁 Please be wary of buying tickets in the comment sections as it is most likely a scam,” she wrote.

She also directly addressed the companies, saying, “@ticketmaster @livenation @aegpresents you are providing a disgusting service. The prices at which you’re allowing tickets to be re-sold is vile and completely against our wishes. Live music should be affordable and accessible and we need to find a new way of making that possible. BE BETTER.”

The controversy comes just after Dean announced her “Art of Loving Live” 2026 tour. When general tickets went on sale, fans reported long digital queues and resold tickets being listed hundreds of dollars above face value.
Ticketmaster responded by sharing Dean’s message on its own Instagram account. The company said it would cap resale prices at face value on its platform and encouraged other resale sites to follow suit.
A representative confirmed to Variety that the action was in response to Dean’s comments. Resale listings for her shows have since been removed across multiple platforms.
This incident highlights the ongoing struggles artists and fans face with ticket scalping and inflated prices. Dean’s message underlines the importance of making live music accessible and fair.
