Omar Sy Steals Hearts in New Trailer for Netflix Rom-Com ‘French Lover’
Netflix has released the trailer for French Lover, a new romantic comedy from France set to arrive on September 26. The movie is directed by Xavier Durand and stars Omar Sy, Sara Giraudeau, and Pascale Arbillot.
The story follows Dámaso Carrillo, a charming sound engineer played by Omar Sy, who starts working on a documentary about top model Marion, played by Sara Giraudeau.
As they spend time together on set, unexpected feelings develop between them. Marion, however, is already in a relationship, which creates a mix of confusion, comedy, and emotional twists.

Pascale Arbillot plays Marion’s agent, while Alban Ivanov, Benoît Crou, and Awa Eva Sagna appear in supporting roles. The trailer gives viewers a first look at the stylish Paris setting and the playful, romantic tone of the movie.
