Despite the growing buzz, DC Studios has yet to officially confirm which character Arjona is playing in ‘Man of Tomorrow.’ Multiple reports have linked her to the villainous Maxima, though persistent fan speculation continues to suggest she could instead be stepping into a version of Wonder Woman, a theory fueled partly by her own repeated refusal to clarify the role in interviews.

‘Man of Tomorrow’ was officially greenlit in September 2025, bringing back David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult from Gunn’s ‘Superman’ reboot, with the plot reportedly following Superman and Lex Luthor teaming up to face Brainiac. The wider ensemble also includes Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Milly Alcock, and Lars Eidinger, among several other cast members still being revealed.

Arjona has also confirmed in a separate interview that she was set to begin shooting her scenes roughly a week out from mid-August, putting her on set around the week of August 21. Between the physical training she’s described undergoing and this latest admission about her own nerves, it’s clear she’s treating the role with the same intensity she’s brought to every major project so far.

Whatever character she ends up playing, Arjona’s honesty about the process offers a rare, unpolished look at what it actually feels like preparing for a role this significant.
