Comedian and actor Adam Pally (‘Happy Endings’, ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ franchise) delivers a one-night-only set that mixes stand-up, documentary beats, and live music; the special is billed as Pally “playing with the truth—and his guitar.” It premieres on HBO Max on Friday, October 17.

Positioned as an experiment that blends storytelling and performance, the special’s official logline highlights its hybrid format across comedy, documentary, and concert vibes, expanding on Pally’s comedic persona with a set designed for a single-evening experience.

‘Die My Love’ (2025)

Adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s novel, ‘Die My Love’ centers on a new mother’s spiraling mental health after a move to an isolated rural setting; Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson star, with supporting turns from LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek. Directed by Lynne Ramsay from a screenplay by Ramsay, Enda Walsh, and Alice Birch, it arrives on HBO Max on Friday, October 17.

The production reunites Ramsay with cinematographer Seamus McGarvey and features music by George Vjestica and Raife Burchell; produced by Black Label Media, Excellent Cadaver, and Sikelia, the film’s U.S. distribution is handled by Mubi.

‘Marvel’s Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team Up!’ (2025)

This animated special teams Spidey with Iron Man and a kid-friendly roster of Avengers—Hulk, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, and Captain America—to stop Ultron and Green Goblin from hijacking the city’s tech. ‘Brittany Murphy: An ID Mystery’ (2020)

Investigation Discovery’s documentary revisits the sudden death of actress Brittany Murphy at age 32, examining the official findings and raising unresolved questions through archival material and interviews—including the late Angelo Bertolotti, Murphy’s father. Directed by Bryan Gildner, it comes to Disney+ on Saturday, October 18.

The special compiles media footage and commentary to trace the events surrounding Murphy’s final months and the subsequent death of her husband, Simon Monjack, while detailing coroner conclusions, family disputes, and theories that kept the case in the public eye.

‘Fifty Shades of Black’ (2016)

A broad spoof of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ this comedy follows college student Hannah Steele (Kali Hawk) and eccentric mogul Christian Black (Marlon Wayans) through an escalating send-up of billionaire-romance tropes, outrageous side characters, and pop-culture gags. Directed by Michael Tiddes and co-written by Wayans and Rick Alvarez, it drops on Paramount+ on Saturday, October 18.
