Jeremy Renner is getting ready to return as Mike McLusky in the hit crime drama Mayor of Kingstown. The show, created by Taylor Sheridan, follows Mike as he works to keep an uneasy peace in Kingstown, Michigan, dealing with gangs, prisoners, guards, and the police.

Paramount+ has now confirmed that season 4 will arrive in October 2025. The news came straight from Paramount executives during a recent quarterly earnings conference call, where they discussed upcoming shows from Sheridan.

Mayor of Kingstown will land between two other Sheridan projects, after Tulsa King season 3 and before Landman season 2.

Since its debut, the series has been praised for diving into tough subjects like crime, corruption, racism, and justice. It first premiered with a special simulcast on both the Paramount Network and Paramount+, drawing 2.6 million viewers and becoming the network’s most-watched scripted premiere since 2018, according to Variety.

The first season didn’t win over every critic, with Rotten Tomatoes giving it a 33% approval rating and Metacritic scoring it at 54 out of 100. Reviews called it gritty but felt it needed stronger reasons for audiences to connect with the characters. Season 2 fared slightly better, while season 3 saw a big improvement, earning a 78% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The show’s loyal fan base has helped it remain a key part of Sheridan’s growing lineup on Paramount+. While the story has always been intense and often dark, Renner’s performance as Mike has been a major reason fans keep tuning in.

Paramount renewed the show for a fourth season back in December 2024, and with the new October 2025 release window now confirmed, fans won’t have to wait too long to return to the gritty streets of Kingstown.

Information revealed during the quarterly earnings conference call.
