Paramount Skydance Reportedly Blacklists Certain Actors and Filmmakers Amid Pro-Palestine Stances As The Company Plans To Be More “Male” & “MAGA-aligned”
Paramount Skydance, now led by David Ellison, is reportedly reshaping Hollywood in a bold new direction, one that some insiders say leans heavily toward conservative and “alpha male” values.
Sources close to the studio told reporters that Ellison’s leadership is already creating a major cultural shift inside the company, with decisions and attitudes that many believe align more closely with MAGA-style politics.
According to reports, Paramount has quietly built a list of actors and filmmakers it no longer plans to work with.
The list allegedly includes people labeled by the company as “overtly antisemitic,” “xenophobic,” or “homophobic.” Insiders claim that several outspoken pro-Palestine voices in Hollywood, including some DC actors, may be part of that group, though it’s unclear who exactly is on the list, Variety reports.
Last September, Paramount made headlines when it became the first major studio to publicly criticize an open letter signed by celebrities such as Emma Stone and Javier Bardem.
The letter called for a boycott of Israeli film institutions accused of supporting what the signatories described as “genocide and apartheid” against Palestinians. Warner Bros. also distanced itself from the letter later on but said its reason was legal, not political.
Industry observers say this response marked a turning point for Paramount, signaling a clear break from the more liberal culture that has long dominated Hollywood. One source said Ellison has created a studio environment that rewards loyalty and “traditional values,” and where political alignment seems to matter more than before.
Some employees have even noticed that television screens in executive offices are no longer tuned to CNN or CNBC but to Fox News instead.
David Ellison, who runs the studio with Skydance veteran Dana Goldberg, reportedly wants to transform Paramount into a powerhouse that rivals Netflix, Amazon, and Warner Bros. He has also expressed ambitions to take control of Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns CNN, HBO, and DC Studios.
Insiders told reporters that Ellison and his father, Oracle billionaire Larry Ellison, are using their close ties with President Donald Trump to expand their empire and push forward a conservative-leaning entertainment strategy.
Sources claim that Trump has already given the Ellisons his full support. The president even approved the $7.7 billion merger between Paramount and Skydance, a move that faced antitrust concerns. He has also been quoted calling the Ellisons “friends” and saying they will “do the right thing.”
The new Paramount Skydance era is reportedly embracing content aimed at middle America, stories centered around patriotism, masculinity, and traditional American values. Some upcoming projects have been described as “America-centric,” with one insider comparing the new direction to a “red state version of classic Hollywood.”
In short, Ellison seems intent on building not just a studio, but a cultural force that reflects his worldview. With its growing blacklist of controversial voices and an open embrace of Trump-era ideals, the once-liberal Paramount now appears to be leading Hollywood into a very different kind of future.
