Hallmark’s first-ever limited series has been quietly winning over romance fans with its globe-trotting premise, and viewers are already counting down to the next chapter of Chelsea Martin’s journey through her past relationships. Starring Lacey Chabert in her first television series role in some time, the show has taken audiences from Paris to Ireland and beyond as its heroine retraces old footsteps in search of clarity about her future.
Based on Jenn McKinlay’s bestselling novel of the same name, the six-episode series follows Chelsea, a career-driven nonprofit executive played by Chabert, as a business trip to secure a major donor turns into an unexpected personal journey. Her professional rival turned travel companion Jason Knightley, played by Scott Michael Foster, joins her along the way as she reconnects with the loves she left behind across Europe.
‘Paris Is Always a Good Idea‘ Episode 4 premieres on Thursday, August 13, 2026, exclusively on Hallmark+, continuing the show’s weekly Thursday release schedule that began after the first two episodes dropped together on premiere day. According to the streaming platform’s episode guide, this installment finds Chelsea continuing to revisit important relationships from her past while discovering that every reunion reshapes her outlook on where her future might actually lead.
The season’s rollout has followed a consistent pattern since launching in late July, pairing its first two episodes together before shifting into single weekly drops. Episode 3 aired on August 6, picking up Chelsea’s search across Europe as she moves closer to understanding the choices that shaped her past, with new encounters along the way raising both the romantic and emotional stakes of her journey.
The series takes its structure directly from Chelsea’s travels, with each stop on her itinerary functioning almost like its own chapter in her personal history. Episode 2, titled “Colin, Revisited,” sent her to Ireland in search of a sheep farmer from her past, with her sister Annabelle joining the trip while Jason grows increasingly curious about what’s driving Chelsea’s emotional quest.
Filmed across Paris, Ireland, and Spain, the production leans heavily into its sweeping European backdrops as a central part of the storytelling, tracking Chelsea from the rolling hills of Ireland to sun-kissed vineyards as she works her way through unfinished business with old flames. Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming at Hallmark Media, described the appeal of following Chelsea’s arc of self-discovery. With Episode 4 marking the midpoint of the six-episode run, two installments remain before the story wraps up. Episode 5 is scheduled to premiere on August 20, followed by the season finale on August 27, closing out Chelsea’s journey just under a month after it first began streaming.
The supporting cast rounds out the ensemble with Rebecca Hanssen as Chelsea’s sister Annabelle, along with Henry Czerny, Barbara Niven, Stephen Hagan, and Julie Berman filling out the world of exes and family members Chelsea encounters along her route. As the season heads into its back half, all signs point to Chelsea’s choice between her past and her present becoming harder to avoid with each new reunion.
