Ryan Reynolds has spent well over a year teasing that he knows exactly why Thor was crying in that scene, all without ever actually explaining it.

That ongoing tease has fueled speculation that the moment could eventually pay off in a future Marvel project, particularly given that the scene was explicitly framed within the film as a glimpse of a distant future timeline.
