Pedro Pascal Opens Up About Why He and Vanessa Kirby Are ‘Always Grabbing Onto One Another’

Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby, stars of the new Marvel movie Fantastic Four, caught fans’ attention during the recent red carpet premiere. Fans noticed their close body language, especially how Pascal often held onto Kirby. This sparked a lot of curiosity about their relationship, and some memes and rumors.

Pascal plays Reed Richards, and Kirby plays Sue Storm in the film, which also stars Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The cast was announced earlier this year, and since then, Pascal and Kirby have spent a lot of time together filming and promoting the movie.

Many fans wondered if the two were dating, but that’s not the case. Kirby is currently with Paul Rabil and expecting her first child. Pascal is not known to be in a relationship.

In a recent interview with Jake Hamilton on Jake’s Take, Pascal opened up about why he and Kirby are often seen holding hands or touching. He explained, “I think that we really, really see each other in ourselves in terms of our care for what we do, our care for one another, and our mutual fears, our mutual expectations. We can be kind of hard on ourselves, and I just think that we’re very, very similar.”

One video from the premiere showed Pascal stroking Kirby’s arm and holding her wrist, which some fans found surprising. Some even called it “weird.” But Pascal said that their physical connection is a way to remind each other that “we’re not alone in any of it.”

This isn’t new for them. Kirby has also shown similar support towards Pascal in the past, holding his hand when he needed comfort. Pascal has talked before about how human connection helps him manage anxiety. He said, “When it started to feel so critical, I had to go back to what was always the comfort for me in life, which was engagement in my relationships, my friendships, and conversation and shared experience.” Pascal said that close body contact with Vanessa Kirby helps him deal with his anxiety.

Kirby also shared her thoughts on their red carpet moment in an interview with Vanity Fair. She said, “What happened is we were both incredibly nervous going out in front of thousands of people who love this comic. He wanted me to know that we were in this together, and I found it a lovely gesture and was very glad to squeeze his hand back.”
