The story continues a year after the events of the first season. Percy returns to Camp Half-Blood to find the camp under threat from the forces of Kronos. His friend Grover has gone missing, and Percy must embark on a dangerous journey into the Sea of Monsters to recover the Golden Fleece.
The series was renewed for a second season back in February 2024, and Disney+ has already confirmed a third season, which will follow The Titan’s Curse, in March. Albert Kim joined as a new executive producer for season two in April 2024. Writing for season two began in March 2023, with work on season three starting in late February.
Filming for season two took place in Vancouver, beginning on August 1, 2024, and wrapping up on January 31. The new season promises bigger adventures and challenges for Percy and his friends. It will also explore characters like Chiron in greater depth, including aspects of his disability, which may be developed further in upcoming seasons.
This new trailer gives fans a taste of the action and magic that’s coming, building anticipation for what looks to be an exciting continuation of Percy Jackson’s story.
