‘Pluribus’ Trailer Drops — New Series from ‘Breaking Bad’ Creators Starring Rhea Seehorn, Release Date Also Announced
Apple TV Plus is adding a new science fiction series to its lineup with Vince Gilligan’s latest project, Pluribus. The show, created by the mastermind behind Breaking Bad, was officially announced with a short teaser and a premiere date set for November 7th.
The series has been in the works for some time. Apple first revealed back in 2022 that it had picked up a Gilligan project, but details were kept under wraps until now.
Pluribus stars Rhea Seehorn, who fans will recognize from her role as Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul, another hit series created by Gilligan.
Apple describes the show as focusing on “the most miserable person on Earth” who has a strange mission: “to save the world from happiness.” Alongside Seehorn, the cast includes Karolina Wydra, Carlos Manuel Vesga, Miriam Shor, and Samba Schutte. While the story is still mostly a mystery, there’s already a clear buzz around the show.
Vince Gilligan talked about Pluribus a few months ago, calling it a “grounded genre drama.” He also mentioned that he wrote the lead role specifically for Rhea Seehorn.
Apple is showing strong faith in the series, having already confirmed a second season before the first even premieres. This signals they believe Pluribus will be a big hit for their streaming platform.
The new show promises a fresh take on sci-fi with a familiar creative team and a strong lead. Fans of Gilligan’s work and Rhea Seehorn’s acting have plenty to look forward to when Pluribus arrives on Apple TV Plus this November.
