A new project is bringing together two big names in Hollywood. According to TMZ, Quentin Tarantino is working on a fresh series and Sylvester Stallone is joining him, but not as an actor this time.

The report says the two are creating a six-part series set in the 1930s. The idea is to make it feel as real as possible. Sources told TMZ that the show will be filmed in black and white and even use cameras from that time period. The goal is to match the style and look of films from that era.

The story will include different elements tied to that time. It will focus on gangsters, showgirls, boxing, and music. Details about the cast have not been shared yet, but the report says Stallone will stay behind the camera and help direct instead of acting in the series.

Both Tarantino and Stallone have worked on projects connected to earlier time periods before. Tarantino directed Inglourious Basterds, which partly takes place in the late 1930s. Stallone also explored similar themes when he played a mob figure in Capone, a story set in the same general era.

Stallone has also directed films himself, including Paradise Alley. While that film is set later, it still carries a rough, street-level feel that connects to older-style storytelling.

Both filmmakers have used black-and-white visuals in the past, but this project will take it further by sticking to that format for the entire series and using old equipment to capture the look.
