‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ Sets Streaming Release Date on Hulu and Disney+ After Theatrical Run
‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ is getting ready to bring more chaos, danger and dark humor to audiences as the horror sequel heads to streaming. The film will arrive on Hulu and Disney+ on July 2, giving fans another chance to follow Grace MacCaullay’s dangerous journey after the events of the 2019 hit movie.
The sequel once again stars Samara Weaving as Grace, bringing back the character who survived the deadly wedding night ritual that made the first film a surprise success. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the filmmakers behind the original movie, the sequel expands Grace’s story with a new threat and a much larger battle for survival.
The story begins shortly after Grace escapes the terrifying Le Domas family ritual. After surviving the deadly night, Grace ends up in a hospital where she reconnects with her younger sister Faith, played by Kathryn Newton. The sisters, who have been separated for years, are pulled into a new nightmare when powerful families begin hunting them.

The movie follows Grace as she tries to protect Faith while facing five wealthy and dangerous families who are involved in a high-stakes ritual. Their goal is to claim a position of ultimate power, forcing Grace into another fight where survival once again becomes her only option.
Alongside Weaving and Newton, the cast includes several major names such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, David Cronenberg and Elijah Wood. The sequel continues the mix of horror, comedy and action that helped the first movie stand out, while introducing new characters and expanding the world around Grace.
‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ premiered at the South by Southwest Film & TV Festival on March 13, 2026, before arriving in theaters in the United States on March 20 through Searchlight Pictures. The film reportedly performed well enough at the box office, earning $42.9 million worldwide against a reported $14 million budget.
The original ‘Ready or Not’ became popular because of its unusual story, combining a violent survival game with sharp comedy and social commentary. The sequel looks to continue that style by putting Grace in another impossible situation while exploring themes of family, power and revenge.
The return of Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett behind the camera is also expected to bring back the same energy that made the first movie a fan favorite. Their work on the original film helped create a balance between intense horror moments and unexpected humor, something the sequel aims to continue.
With its streaming release now set, fans will soon be able to see whether Grace can survive another deadly game. ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ arrives on Hulu and Disney+ on July 2.
