Recent Rumors Claim that ‘Strange Things’ Season 5 Might be Split Into Two Parts

‘Stranger Things’ season 5 is confirmed to come out in 2025. We haven’t seen any official footage yet, just behind-the-scenes photos, but that should (hopefully) change soon. Speaking of release, the latest rumors claim that the upcoming season will be split into two parts.

This is nothing unusual as far as two-parters go, ‘Squid Game’s’ latest season was also split into two parts, as well as ‘Stranger Things’ season 4. Recently, fans found a hidden code in their web browsers that suggested the season might drop on November 27, 2025—right around Thanksgiving weekend, a popular time for big Netflix releases.

While this date hasn’t been confirmed and wasn’t meant to be public, Netflix hasn’t commented on it, and they’ve even removed the ‘Stranger Things’ media page from their site.

We don’t know how many episodes will be in each part, and this is still just a rumor until Netflix makes an official announcement.

The fifth season spent a lot of time in development, In February 2022, ‘Stranger Things’ creators Matt and Ross Duffer shared a letter revealing several key updates, including the show’s renewal for a fifth and final season, plans for a spinoff series, and the two-part release schedule for season 4.

Although the Duffers had originally planned for only four seasons, they teased a fifth season in 2017. Planning for season 5 started before season 4’s release, but the COVID-19 pandemic led them to fully outline season 5 earlier than usual. After feedback from season 4, they reworked the season and even changed the ending.
