Rob Liefeld Praises ‘House of X’ and ‘Powers of X,’ Criticizes Marvel Once Again

Rob Liefeld is best known as the co-creator of Deadpool, but he also worked on other comics and was, for a while, pretty revered in the comic book community. Recently, though, his reputation has been shaking, mostly because of his ongoing feuds with Marvel.
Liefeld does not shy away from openly calling out Marvel and its stories, and some fans just don’t seem to agree with him. On the other hand, some support him and his views. Recently, while exchanging messages with a fan on social media, Liefeld praised a major storyline from the late 2010s while taking the opportunity to take yet another stab at Marvel.
Not that long ago, a fan wrote this:
This was, as you can see, a response to Liefeld’s demand for better comic books and movies, and while it probably took things a bit too far, it did spark an interesting response:
I agree that this launch was their last “event” comic book. Couldn’t hold. Concept too limited.
Editor’s Note: Liefeld has since deleted his comment, but what you’re seeing is our saved transcript and a cached version of the post.
Written by Jonathan Hickman, both House of X and Powers of X were major events related to the X-Men and both stories were praised when they came out. Since then, Marvel has had some great storylines and even events, so Liefeld’s comments don’t necessarily reflect the truth, but it is interesting to see that he did praise them, although he did use the opportunity to stab Marvel once again, continuing the feud.
