Rumor Says Sydney Sweeney May Land Major Fan-Favorite X-Men Role in the MCU
A new Marvel rumor is getting fans talking, and this time it involves Sydney Sweeney and one of the most famous X-Men characters in comic book history. According to industry insider MyTimeToShineHello, the actress is reportedly being considered for the role of Emma Frost in Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men reboot. The report has not been confirmed by Marvel, but it has already created major excitement online.
Marvel has been slowly preparing to bring mutants fully into the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years. Back in 2019, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said that mutants would eventually enter the MCU and made it clear they would be handled differently from the earlier Fox X-Men movies.
Since then, the project has moved forward step by step. Writer Michael Lesslie is attached to the film, and director Jake Schreier is now leading the reboot after strong reactions to Thunderbolts*.
