‘Run Away’ Trailer: James Nesbitt Hunts for His Missing Daughter in New Netflix Thriller
A new trailer has arrived for Run Away, the latest Netflix thriller based on a story from Harlan Coben. The series follows Simon, played by James Nesbitt, as he tries to find his missing daughter.
His daughter Paige walked out of their lives, and nothing has been the same since. When Simon finally spots her again in a city park, she looks lost, frightened and hooked on drugs. He thinks it might be his chance to bring her home, but she isn’t alone. Things quickly take a dark turn, and once violence erupts, he loses her all over again.

Simon’s search pulls him into a dangerous world he never expected to enter. As he pushes deeper into that world, he discovers secrets that could break apart his entire family. The show also features Minnie Driver, Ruth Jones and Alfred Enoch.
Run Away continues Netflix’s long list of Coben projects. The platform has found huge success with his stories, including Fool Me Once, which became Netflix’s most-watched series of 2024. After that came Missing You, and Coben also created Lazarus for Prime Video. Netflix is also preparing an American version of I Will Find You with Sam Worthington.
This new series is written with Coben’s longtime partner Danny Brocklehurst and produced by Nicola Shindler and her company, Quay Street Productions. The cast includes Lucian Msamati, Jon Pointing, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Annette Badland, Maeve Courtier-Lilley, Ellie de Lange, Adrian Greensmith, Ellie Henry, Ingrid Oliver, Finty Williams, Joe McGann and Amy Gledhill. Coben is executive producing with Shindler, Brocklehurst, Richard Fee and Nimer Rashed.
With a tense premise and a strong cast, Run Away looks ready to pull viewers into another gripping mystery from one of Netflix’s most reliable thriller creators.
