British comedian and actor Russell Brand has been hit with two more s***** offence charges, police in the UK confirmed on Tuesday. The Crown Prosecution Service authorised the new charges, which include one count of r*** and one count of s**** assault, and involve two additional women.

These latest charges come after Brand was previously charged in April with five offences involving four other women, including two counts of r***, one of indecent assault, and two of s**** assault. The earlier allegations date back more than 20 years.

Brand, 50, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 20 over the new charges. His trial for the earlier cases is scheduled to begin at Southwark Crown Court on June 16.

Brand has pleaded not guilty to all previous charges. Once a well-known broadcaster in the UK and the former husband of pop star Katy Perry, Brand has denied engaging in non-consensual s***** activity. He previously said of the original allegations, “I was a fool and a s** addict in my younger days, but what I never was, was a r****.”

The investigation into Brand began in September 2023 after Channel 4’s “Dispatches” and The Sunday Times published reports from women accusing him of s***** misconduct and abuse.

The allegations span several years and were connected to incidents when Brand was a public figure known for his comedic and television work. Some reports also highlighted his past struggles with drug use, noting that he had been arrested multiple times and later became sober with the help of drug rehabilitation programs and meditation.

Over the years, Brand has faced several accusations of s**** misconduct. These include claims by former girlfriends and colleagues, along with complaints during his time at the BBC. Some women have alleged s**** harassment, assault, and inappropriate behavior while working with or appearing on his shows. In response to past allegations, Brand has consistently denied wrongdoing, claiming his relationships were consensual.

Brand has also faced legal action in civil courts. In November 2023, a woman accused him of s**** assault on the set of the film Arthur (2011) and filed a lawsuit under New York’s Adult Survivors Act. Another case in London’s High Court in February 2025 also accused Brand of s**** abuse. Brand has denied all claims and said he had been sober for years at the time of the alleged incidents.

Following the criminal charges, Brand was suspended from roles as a charity ambassador and dropped from partnerships with media and wellness platforms. He was granted bail in May and entered a plea of not guilty at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. His next hearing is scheduled for January 20, 2026, in relation to the two new charges.

This case has drawn widespread attention due to Brand’s public profile and past controversies. He remains free on bail while awaiting court proceedings and continues to deny all allegations.
