Ryan Gosling (45) Gets Candid About Bedroom Life with Wife Eva Mendes (52)

Ryan Gosling rarely talks about his private life, but the 45-year-old actor gave fans a glimpse into his bedroom preferences during a recent podcast. Gosling, who has been with Eva Mendes since 2011, is known for keeping their relationship extremely private. The couple has two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, and reportedly married sometime before November 2022.

On the podcast New Heights, hosted by NFL star Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, Gosling was asked about comments made by his Blade Runner co-star Harrison Ford. Ford had admitted he listens to his own movie soundtracks while being intimate with his wife, Calista Flockhart.

Gosling didn’t hold back. “No. That’s a hard no,” he said. “That’s an easy, easy no.” Fans were quick to note that Gosling is clearly not taking cues from Ford when it comes to his romantic life.

Despite staying mostly out of the spotlight, Gosling’s relationship with Mendes appears strong. The pair rarely make public appearances together, but the actor credits his family for inspiring his work.

Gosling also spoke about his role in the new sci-fi thriller Project Hail Mary, adapted from Andy Weir’s 2021 novel. He plays Ryland Grace, an astronaut on a mission to save humanity from catastrophic global cooling. The film has become Amazon’s highest-grossing debut.

“Being a dad, you know, having two young kids, and I feel like everything is just designed to scare them,” Gosling said during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show. “I was so grateful just as a father to get to make a story for my kids, maybe not to be too lofty, but for their generation, that kind of reminds you of what we’re capable of as human beings.”

He added, “It doesn’t pretend that there’s not going to be problems, but that we can solve them, you know? And anyway, [author Andy Weir] is a unique writer in that way. I think that’s why people love this book so much.”

Gosling’s honesty gives fans a rare look into the private side of a couple who usually keeps their lives off social media. His refusal to imitate Ford in the bedroom, combined with his dedication to his kids, shows a very grounded side of the Hollywood star.
