Sabrina Carpenter criticized President Donald Trump’s White House after her song “Juno” was used in a video showing ICE raids. She took to X to share her reaction, writing, “This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

The White House has previously used songs from artists critical of Trump in videos promoting the president or highlighting ICE operations.

In the recent video, a lyric from Carpenter’s “Juno” was paired with footage of people being handcuffed and tackled by agents. Carpenter’s friend and collaborator, Taylor Swift, also had her music used in a similar way last November, though she did not comment publicly.

British singer Jess Glynne also condemned the use of her song “Hold My Hand” in a summer video promoting ICE raids. She wrote on social media, “This post honestly makes me sick. My music is about love, unity, and spreading positivity — never about division or hate.”

This ongoing issue highlights the tension between artists and political entities using music for messaging. It raises questions about consent, copyright, and the ethics of associating creative work with political agendas.
