MGM+ has revealed details about its new drama series Robin Hood, which will premiere on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

The 10-episode series comes from Lionsgate TV, with John Glenn as showrunner and Jonathan English serving as both executive producer and director, the network confirmed.

Fans got their new look at the reimagined show through images shared on Rotten Tomatoes.

The premiere night will feature a special two-episode event at 9 PM ET/PT. After that, new episodes will air weekly until the finale on December 28. The series will also be available internationally, including in the UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, Latin America, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

MGM+ describes the series as “a sweeping, romantic adventure, a modern take on the classic tale that brings historical authenticity, psychological depth, and a heightened focus on the relationship between Rob and Marian.”

The story takes place after the Norman invasion of England. Jack Patten stars as Rob, a Saxon forester’s son, while Lauren McQueen plays Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord. Together, they fall in love and fight for justice and freedom. Rob leads a band of rebel outlaws, and Marian works inside the royal court to expose corruption.

The cast also includes Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon, and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. In addition to Glenn and English, Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures serves as an executive producer.

This new version of Robin Hood looks very promising. The mix of historical detail, romance, and Sean Bean in the cast could make it an exciting take on the classic story. What do you think about this reboot? Are you looking forward to watching it? Share your thoughts in the comments.
