The live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda is starting to take shape, and fans may have spotted a major new cast member.

According to a recent leak from the set in New Zealand, Dichen Lachman, known for her role in Severance, appears to have joined the movie. The footage, shared by content creator Tony Olsen, shows Lachman alongside Bo Bragason, who plays Zelda, and her look strongly hints that she is playing the iconic character Impa.

The film, directed by Maze Runner filmmaker Wes Ball, has already announced its release date as March 26, 2027. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth has been cast as Link, finally confirming the leads after months of speculation.

In the leaked video, Lachman is seen with long gray hair styled in braids, wearing a long-sleeve tunic, a wide leather belt, and carrying a naginata-style weapon.

The outfit closely matches several depictions of Impa across the Zelda franchise, including Hyrule Warriors and Age of Calamity, where Impa serves as a strong warrior and Zelda’s protector. Fans online have quickly noticed the resemblance, with one commenting, “That’s 100% Impa right?”

Although Nintendo and Sony have not officially confirmed Lachman’s involvement, the leak has sparked excitement among fans. Her talent for playing complex, mysterious characters, like Ms. Casey in Severance, makes her a natural fit for the role.

From what the set photos and video show, Lachman looks ready to bring Impa to life, standing strong next to Zelda. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see how this legendary character is portrayed on screen.
