‘Silent Hill f’ Banned in Australia – The Reasons Why So Far Unknown

Silent Hill f has been banned in Australia. The country’s Classification Board refused to give the game a rating. However, they have not explained why. The only way to find out more is to contact them directly.
Australia is known for having strict rules on video game content. In the past, games like Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact have been banned due to serious themes, such as implied sexual violence involving minors. Another Silent Hill game, Silent Hill: Homecoming, was also banned in 2008 because of graphic torture scenes. A censored version was later released.
Other banned games in Australia include Hotline Miami 2, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and Saints Row 4. These games were denied release due to themes like drug use, sexual violence, or content involving minors.
Silent Hill f was first announced in 2022 as part of Konami’s revival of the series. However, fans only received updates about it in March 2025. Now that Silent Hill 2 Remake is out, Konami is focusing on this new game.
Silent Hill f is set in 1960s Japan and is being developed by Neobards Entertainment. The game features designs by artist Kera and a story by Ryukishi07, the writer of When They Cry.
The game takes place in the small town of Ebisugaoka, based on a real town in Japan called Kanayama in the Gifu Prefecture. Players will follow the story of Shimizu Hinako, a normal teenager whose town becomes covered in fog and changes in terrifying ways. She must solve puzzles, fight strange creatures, and make a tough choice that is both beautiful and scary.
