‘Sinners’ Star Miles Caton Teases Dream MCU Role: “I Mean, My Name Is Miles”

Miles Caton might be a newcomer in Hollywood, but he’s already dreaming big, like Marvel Cinematic Universe big.

The 20-year-old star of Ryan Coogler’s new supernatural film Sinners is turning heads with his powerful voice and emotional performance as Sammie, a young blues musician caught in a dark and mysterious world. But Caton has his sights set on another universe — the Marvel one.

In a recent interview, when asked about future roles, Caton shared his excitement:
“I love comedy. Action. Adventure. I’m a big Marvel fan. Marvel, that’s top of the top, so shooting for the stars.”

And then he dropped a hint with a smile: “I mean, my name is Miles…”

Fans of Marvel Comics will instantly think of Miles Morales — the beloved Spider-Man from an alternate universe. While Miles Morales has already appeared in animated films like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, many fans are hoping to see a live-action version in the MCU soon.

There have been rumors that Miles could debut in Spider-Man 4, and while that would make sense given the multiverse storylines currently unfolding in the MCU, there’s no official confirmation yet.

Some reports have suggested that the Sony Spider-Man Universe (SSU) might introduce a live-action Miles first. However, considering the current state of that franchise, especially after the release of Kraven the Hunter, that seems increasingly unlikely.
