The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in action with a brand-new animated short called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey. A sneak peek of the short has just been released, giving fans an early look at the Turtles’ next big adventure.

The new story takes place after the 2023 film Mutant Mayhem and follows the brothers as they face the downside of their growing fame.

When a suspicious toy company begins cashing in on their popularity, the Turtles decide to leave New York and head to New Jersey to get some answers. What starts as a simple mission quickly turns into a wild and unexpected journey filled with chaos, laughter, and a few surprises along the way.

The short is directed by Kent Seki, who previously worked as head of cinematography on Mutant Mayhem.

The script was written by Andrew Joustra, one of the writers who helped shape the story for the 2023 movie. Returning to produce are Mutant Mayhem director Jeff Rowe, Ramsay McBean, and the Point Grey Pictures team—Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver.

Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey made its world premiere on June 10 at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival as part of the Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon showcase. Festival-goers praised the short for its funny moments, energetic storytelling, and stylish animation.

Fans who didn’t catch the early showing won’t have to wait too long. Paramount and Nickelodeon confirmed that the short will hit theaters on December 19, where it will play before The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.

With the creative team from Mutant Mayhem returning and new visuals that Variety says “push the Turtles’ world to a whole new level,” this short looks like another hit for the franchise.

It’s exciting to see the Turtles back on screen again, this time taking their adventures to New Jersey.

The sneak peek promises the same fun energy and humor that fans loved in Mutant Mayhem. What do you think about the Turtles’ new short? Are you ready to see them take on the Garden State? Share your thoughts in the comments.
