SNL’s December Lineup: Ariana Grande and Josh O’Connor Set to Host
Saturday Night Live has revealed the hosts and musical guests for the last episodes of its 51st season this December.
Josh O’Connor, star of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, will host the December 13 episode. He will be joined by Lily Allen as the musical guest. This episode will mark O’Connor’s first time hosting SNL, while Allen will make her second appearance on the show.
A week later, Ariana Grande will return to the SNL stage to host the December 20 episode, which will close out the year’s season.
Cher is set to perform as the musical guest. This will be her first appearance on SNL since 1987. Grande, an Oscar-nominated and Grammy-winning performer, has hosted the show twice before.
Before these episodes, Melissa McCarthy will host on December 6, with Dijon performing as the musical guest. This will be McCarthy’s sixth time hosting SNL, and she has previously won an Emmy for her hosting work in 2017. Dijon will make her SNL debut on that night.
This season of SNL began on October 4 with Bad Bunny hosting and Doja Cat performing. Other notable hosts so far include Miles Teller, Nikki Glaser, Glen Powell, Amy Poehler, and Sabrina Carpenter.
With big names like O’Connor, Grande, and Cher closing out the year, SNL fans can expect some exciting December episodes.
