While promoting her new Amazon Prime Video film Steal, Sophie Turner opened up about the possibility of returning to the Game of Thrones universe. In an exclusive interview with The Direct, the actress discussed whether she would reprise her role as Sansa Stark in one of the upcoming HBO sequel series.

Turner admitted she had mixed feelings about coming back. “Show me the money (laughs). I don’t know, I think it would be hard but also amazing to come back to it,” she said.

The actress explained that she was happy with how Sansa’s story concluded in Season 8, even though other characters didn’t get endings that satisfied fans. “I feel that I was very happy with the way Sansa ended her story in ‘Game of Thrones,’ and no one else was really happy with their ending. I feel like I got a good one, and so I don’t know if I could revisit it,” Turner shared.

Despite her concerns about revisiting Sansa’s story, Turner left the door open for a return. She said her decision would depend on the script and whether it could recapture the magic of the original series. “Maybe it would be an utter joy, or maybe it would be trying to cling on to something that was magic back in the day that can’t be recreated. I would have to see a script,” she explained.

Turner’s comments suggest that while she values Sansa’s conclusion, she’s not completely ruling out the chance to step back into the Seven Kingdoms if the right story comes along.
