Spider-Man Is Becoming a Manga Hero Once Again in ‘Spider-Man Manga: Shadow Warrior’
Marvel is bringing Spider-Man back to manga with a new series called “Spider-Man Manga: Shadow Warrior.” It launches on September 16, 2025. This time, Spider-Man, Miles Morales, and Spider-Gwen travel to feudal Japan. Their goal is to stop Kingpin, who now rules Edo as governor.
The story adds a big twist. A new character bonds with the Venom symbiote, creating a version of Venom we haven’t seen before. The series mixes time travel and Isekai themes, with the heroes facing challenges in a strange, old-world Japan.
Shogo Aoki writes and draws this manga. He’s known for works like “Blood Dome” and “Goblin Slayer: Dai Katana.” The official synopsis says: “Travel to 19th century Japan, where the Kingpin Wilson Fisk has fled America and established himself as Governor of Edo. Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Ghost-Spider are hot on his trail.”
Spider-Man has appeared in manga before, but this story stands out with its historical setting and fresh take. It’s set to hit shelves this Fall, aiming to grab fans of both manga and superheroes.

I think this could be a hit. The feudal Japan idea feels new for Spider-Man, and a unique Venom sounds exciting. It’s cool to see Marvel mix things up like this. What do you think? Are you hyped for this manga? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
