‘Spider-Noir’ Teases Nicolas Cage’s The Spider in Stunning New Photos
Prime Video has shared new first-look photos from the upcoming live-action series Spider-Noir, giving fans their first clear look at Nicolas Cage in his first leading TV role. The images were released by the streamer as part of the show’s early promotion.
The series is based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir and takes place in 1930s New York. According to information released by Prime Video, Cage plays Ben Reilly, also known as The Spider. He is described as a private investigator who is struggling after a personal tragedy. He once worked as the city’s only superhero but stepped away from that life. The story follows what happens when a major case pushes him to put the mask back on.

The newly released photos also reveal the rest of the main cast. Lamorne Morris plays journalist Robbie Robertson, who is trying to build his career in a tough and unfair world while staying loyal to his best friend Ben. Li Jun Li plays Cat Hardy, a nightclub star whose life is more complicated than it first appears. Karen Rodriguez plays Janet Smart, Ben’s determined and loyal secretary who is not afraid to speak her mind.

Prime Video confirmed that the cast also includes Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson. Several guest stars will appear throughout the series as well.
The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video. Harry Bradbeer directed the first two episodes and serves as an executive producer. The series was developed by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot together with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, the team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Nicolas Cage is also listed as an executive producer.
Spider-Noir is set to premiere worldwide this spring. It will first air in the United States on MGM+ before becoming available globally on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
